Welcome to Pono Insurance LLC's website. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our messaging services and are designed to ensure transparency and compliance with all applicable laws, including 10DLC messaging requirements.
Messaging Program Overview
Sending "us" an initial user-generated SMS message you are opting into our messaging program, you agree to receive communications related to your insurance inquiries, policy updates, reminders, and other important information regarding our services. Our messages are designed to keep you informed about your insurance coverage and any associated services. You can text us at 360-205-7355 with "JOIN" to become part of our SMS list to be contacted for insurance inquiries. You can text with "HELP" to receive SMS messaging to assist with any concerns regarding insurance policy needs.
Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with us. For one-time updates or inquiries, you will receive messages as needed. If you are subscribed to recurring updates (such as policy reminders or claim status updates), you may receive multiple messages per month, or as necessary based on the status of your policies or requests. Message frequency may vary based on individual needs and requests.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply. By participating in our messaging program, you understand that your mobile carrier’s standard rates may be charged for SMS or MMS messages, including those related to insurance updates and notifications. Please contact your mobile carrier for more information about their rates.
Opt-Out Information
You have the right to stop receiving messages at any time. To opt-out of our messaging services, simply reply STOP to any message you receive from us. Once you opt-out, you will no longer receive SMS messages regarding your insurance inquiries or policy updates. You can text us at 360-205-7355 with "STOP" to be removed from our SMS list and cease all forms of SMS communication.

8. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

We only collect sensitive personal information, as defined by applicable privacy laws or the purposes allowed by law or with your consent. Sensitive personal information may be used, or disclosed to a service provider or contractor, for additional, specified purposes. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

California "Shine The Light" Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
